Recreation Soccer is a coed town league for players Age 4, PreK – Grade 7.

Spring season is March – June              Fall season is August – November

We play 8 games on Saturdays with coaches practice during the week.
All activities are at WYSC Soccer Fields, 98 Charlotte Furnace Road, West Wareham.

Divisions

Wareham Juniors, Age 4, PreK
Barcelona, Grade K-1 Liverpool, Grade 2-3
Dortmund, Grade 4-5 Juventus, Grade 6-7

Wareham Juniors

Juniors program is designed to provide the players with an outdoor activity and to introduce soccer through a variety of activities. We’ll learn the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. Sessions are Saturday mornings for 45-50 minutes. No training during the week.

Do not order a uniform. Juniors receive a T-shirt on the first day.

Required Equipment, not provided

Soccer Ball; Size 3 (4 is ok)
Soccer Cleats; Recommended, not necessary, but it does get slippery.
Soccer Socks; any color
Soccer Shin Guards, worn under soccer socks

Recreation

Recreation is for players to learn the game of soccer while enjoying fun competition with other players from Wareham. Teams are coed.

Required Equipment, not provided

Full Uniform; order at WYSC Store, Recreation Uniform, reversible jersey with your favorite number
Soccer Ball; Size 4
Soccer Cleats; No baseball or football cleats
Soccer Shin Guards, worn under soccer socks

NOTE: Uniforms can take 4 weeks to receive. Order early. Order big. We use the same uniform each season and you can wear warm clothing under.

NO JEWELRY - This includes earrings. They may NOT be covered by Band-Aids or tape. Earrings must be removed in order to play so please plan accordingly. Medical bracelets are the only exception to this rule and must be taped over.

Hard casts or splints are not allowed. Knee or elbow braces must be soft. No metal or hard plastic.
